(1) I would like to know if suicide or murder as well as other heinous crimes, can be a part of a soul contract? I have been told suicide is never entered into a soul contract and is a part of free will. Can you please give me your answer on that?

Suicide is never planned as a certainty prior to birth, but it is planned as a possibility, a probability, or (rarely) a probability so high as to be almost certain. There’s an entire chapter about the pre-birth planning of suicide in my second book, Your Soul’s Gift: The Healing Power of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born. Cameron, the person who is the subject of that chapter, planned before he was born to bring into body unhealed energies from past lives for the purpose of healing them. He knew before he was born that these energies would cause depression and anxiety to such an extent that a suicide would be highly likely. Why then did he create such a plan? Because some souls are very ambitious, and because not fulfilling his pre-birth plan is not judged as a failure by his soul. His soul simply views this lifetime as incomplete and so feels a need and desire to try again.

I would like to add that the suicide chapter in Your Soul’s Gift contains the single most healing piece of information I’ve come across in all the years I’ve been doing this work: that every suicide that could have been prevented was prevented (pp.410-411). Why? Because if the suicidal person has any openness or willingness to change his or her mind, Spirit knows and stages an intervention. Understand: if you lost someone you love to suicide, there was literally nothing you could have done to prevent it. So, take any guilt or self-blame you may feel, put it down, and step away from it. This is what your loved one wants for you.

I haven’t researched murder, but my understanding is that it is occasionally but very rarely planned. The most well known example is the crucifixion of Jesus, which was planned for the impact it would have on the world, including the grounding of a tremendous amount of Christ energy through the crucifixion itself.

(2) If a child chooses his parents, which seems to be the case, what else does he–do we–choose?  A life-path in broad strokes? Who we’ll meet, where we’ll live, what we’ll do? Can that be what “destiny” is?

If a person has that nagging feeling that “this doesn’t feel right,” say, when they’ve been pressured to attend a school they don’t want to attend or pursue a career they don’t want, or marry someone they don’t want to marry–those sorts of major life things–might that be a feeling evoked when a person deviates from his or her own chosen “script” the script that they wrote for themselves before birth?

We choose our parents, siblings, friends, romantic partners, teachers, employers, and even “enemies” if we are planning to have “enemies.” We plan where we will live and what we will do. We also plan “small” things if they are potentially important. For example, there’s something called a “bump contract” in which someone who is off-course is “bumped” back on course by the person with whom they have the bump contract. You have a bump contract with someone if your relationship with that person is brief, yet it has a powerful impact on the course of your life. And yes, the nagging feeling that something isn’t right is often your soul telling you that a certain course is not part of your plan.

The signs that indicate you are following the path your soul would like you to follow are excitement, joy, aspiration (doing what you aspire to do), inspiration (doing what inspires you), and time distortion (also known as the flow state) in which you lose yourself in some activity such that two hours feels like five minutes.

(3) Can our souls be hijacked during the death process and even beyond that if reincarnation could possibly be a hi-jacking process in which a soul cannot get off of the Wheel of Incarnation. The scenario of Earth and her inhabitant’s process of learning spiritual lessons through reincarnation having been hijacked by a “controlling, negative consciousness” in order to enslave and feed off of the soul’s energy.)

I have never heard of such a hijacking process. Given that the pre-birth planning involves God, ascended masters, spirit guides, and one’s soul (which is at an ultra-elevated vibration), I doubt that such hijacking occurs. That said, it’s my understanding that there are negatively oriented or service-to-self (as opposed to service-to-other) beings who feed on the fear generated by humans. I would encourage you who are reading this not to go into fear over this information and also not to spend any time thinking about it, as doing so is an unnecessary distraction from your soul plan and a hindrance to receiving the natural and constant flow of blessings Spirit sends to you.
